Staff at The Maelor School are raising money this year in aid of cancer research.  There are a number of things taking place, the first being seven male teachers growing beards throughout November 2013.  Those taking part are Mr Aylward, Mr Bright, Mr Hughes, Mr Connelly, Mr Bruce-Pinard, Mr Rose and Headteacher, Mr Ellis. 6th Form AS Art Trip

6th Form AS Art Trip(Posted on 21/10/13)

Sixth form AS Level Art students visited the grounds of the National Trust property Erddig Hall last week to help them with the environmental section of their coursework along with our new Head of Art, Mrs Hartigan. The students had a creative time using leaves, branches, water, stones, berries, acorns, bark etc to produce some good work which will go forward as part of their AS coursework.

Outstanding GCSE Results

Pupils and staff were celebrating today at The Maelor School as 98% achieved 5A*-C and 76% achieved 5A*-C including English and Maths. Staff and students at The Maelor School in Penley were delighted with another year of excellent 'A' level results. 96% of students achieved at least 2 'A' levels. 76% of A levels were awarded A*-C.
