Before the schools closed we started to look at some of the religious creation stories. Your study of aboriginal dreamtime was to help you understand that ideas about how the universe was created are different in all cultures. However, this is an idea where belief and science often clash. As scientists have learned more about the origins of the universe and how life began, they have moved further away from the traditional religious or cultural stories. For some people this means that science and religion are incompatible, and for others they simply approach the same questions in different ways, and it is possible to believe while agreeing with science. The activities in this pack are designed to help you explore this idea. They are on a PDF document and so you will need to complete the activities in your RS book or to create a new word document to complete the activities in. The work should last at least 4 lessons and so you should aim to complete by 09/05/2020

On the google classroom home learning pack to enable you to explore the deeper Christian understanding of the Festival of Easter. In contrast to our study of Christmas where we explored the secular and commercial aspects of a festival we all know a lot about. Our study of what you already knew about the life of Jesus and the importance of it showed that background knowledge on what Christians believe about Jesus is limited for many of you. The study of Easter will help you get a better understanding of the reason Jesus is such an important figure for the Christian faith and also explore some of the differences in belief and understanding within the Christian faith. The work is a PDF so it is designed that you will complete it either in your books or create new word or PowerPoint documents to complete on the computer. The work here should be the equivalent of 3-4 lessons work and so you should aim to complete it by 2nd May 2020 (don't forget you have an Easter Holiday to celebrate the events you are studying).
