Key Stage 4
GCSE Mathematics continues your studies from year 9. It will give you the mathematical skills to understand everyday life including understanding finances and solving problems. The course is made up of three units which will be examined over the two years.
- Unit 1 Statistics & Number (written exam, calculator, 1hour)
- Unit 2 Number & Algebra (written exam, no calculator, 1 hour 15 mins)
- Unit 3 Geometry & Algebra (written exam, calculator, 1 hour 30 mins)
GCSE Mathematics is a requirement for most post 16 courses and many jobs, particularly at ‘C’ grade and above. It is seen as important by many employers.
