Maelor School Pupils raise funds for the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry, Bone Cancer Appeal

The Maelor School held a 'Wear Your Christmas Jumper' fund raiser on the last day befoe they broke up for Christmas and raised a fantastic £548.68.  This money was raised to help fund a new £2 million Bone Cancer Centre at the specialist orthopaedic hospital, Oswestry, to treat patients in a bespoke care environment.

Ruth Tyrrell (Gobowen Associate Director of Human Resources) from the hospital came to the school on Tuesday 24 February 2015 to deliver a special assembly to Year 7 pupils and was presented with the cheque.
