Pupils at The Maelor School

Safeguarding

The safeguarding of our pupils and staff is of paramount importance. We take pride in the fact that our students tell us they feel safe at the Maelor School and that the school sees their wellbeing as an priority alongside their academic progress.

We recognise that the safeguarding of our pupils is everybody’s responsibility, a role which our staff take seriously. We provide a broad and balanced curriculum which ensures that our pupils are equipped with the knowledge and skills to support their own wellbeing and to make safe, informed choices for their own lives.

We recognise that school can be a great source of support to students or their families when there are concerns about the safety or welfare of a child. However, if there is an urgent risk to a child at a time when school is not available there are details below of agencies who can offer support.
