The Maelor Sixth – A Level Results 10/8/21.

Students at The Maelor Sixth were delighted to receive their AS and A level results today following the disruption of the last two academic years due to Covid. This year students had to complete assessments in school which were used alongside other evidence to award grades following the cancellation of exams.

The results awarded reflect the high academic standards of the students achieved over the last five years.

Headteacher Simon Ellis commented “This has been a very tough year for our young people but this group of students have dedicated themselves to their learning whether it was normal lessons or online learning. They thoroughly deserve their grades which reflect the hard work and dedication that they have shown in ensuring that their futures have not suffered because of the pandemic.”

Director of Sixth Form Penny Ellwood expressed her thanks for the support that the students had received from both home and school . “ I’m so proud of each and every one of them, I wish them well for the future whether at University or Apprenticeships. They have all performed fantastically and this is reward for their effort, enthusiasm and determination”
