There are a number of areas in school dedicated exclusively to the sixth form. The library gives priority to sixth formers, providing a quiet study area.
One of the many perks about moving onto futher education at the Maelor School are the two mobiles that are available exclusively to the Sixth Form for relaxing and socialising. Facilities within the mobiles include; running water with sink, CD player, ample seating and kettles.
Both mobiles are space enough for everyone and provide a great way to switch off and make new friends.
The mobiles are also a responsibility, it is left to the students to clean and look after their mobiles, which provides precious life experience ready for when they are fending for themselves.
The newly installed VLE room (Virtual Learning Environment) is equipped with 20 computers and includes a careers and higher education resource area.
