The Maelor School library has recently undergone a refurbishment to update existing facilities.
The librarian, Mrs Edwards, is very helpful when it comes to researching a variety of different topics.

Sports
The school's swimming pool is located on school grounds. School swimming galas and other swimming competitions are held here. This facility is also used for swimming lessons after school.
The school has a set of three tennis courts situated near the swimming pool and the school field.
The Maelor School has an up to date computer network and there are many rooms throughout the school that include computers. All of these computers run on windows XP.
Every pupil is able to create their own account in which they have their own documents folders, and general space to use the connection to the internet.
The Maelor have recently installed an all new conference room where pupils can communicate via video and microphone, using new technology.
Architects are currently drawing up plans for a major building project, part of which will include a new sports hall, on the school site over the next two years.
