The School Library enjoys a variety of uses - individual study, whole class use, small group or individual research for projects and homework, word-processing , information seeking on the Internet , and recreational reading, in a friendly environment with resources and help always on hand.
Resources consist of a wide range of Fiction and Non-fiction for borrowing, plus an extensive Reference section - a total of over 9,000 items!
The Reference section also includes various Information Files located in a filing cabinet. These files contain up-to-date leaflets and articles that are a valuable aid for homework and project topics.
Pupils in Years 7-11 can borrow up to 2 items for 2 weeks .
Sixth Form students can borrow up to 4 items . The loan period for all main Library resources is 2 weeks . Some Sixth Form resources are available for overnight loan.
All items must be taken to the desk before borrowing and when returning .

We also have daily newspapers, subject specific journals, and a selection of popular teen magazines.

In addition, we have 10 computers linked to the school network. These are available for internet access and word processing. We also offer printing and scanning facilities.

There is also a Listening Station available to use, together with a selection of audio tapes.

Other services include photocopying, book requests and reservations facility.
The library is supervised at all times by the Librarian, Mrs. Edwards, who is available to provide any assistance required.
