The Sixth Form Year 12 Applied Science group and the Year 13 Physics group paid a visit to the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle on 29th November.
The visit was made possible by the kind support of the hospital, particularly Matt's father, Mr. Bird and his staff in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
Experts at the hospital explained their specialist areas in a lecture, which was followed by a visit to each different department.
"It was a great opportunity for our students to see the scanning equipment first hand"
"It really helped our understanding of the ideas taught in school"

"It was good to talk to people who are right up to date with their information and technology"

The class then had the opportunity to ask a manager at the company some questions on the hot topic of global warming.
The chemistry group all went to Bangor University to participate in an experiment which involved using the Universities Complex and expensive equipment.
